Early Beginnings

Creative.

Scientific.

I was born and raised right outside New York City to Polish and British parents. I had many interests growing up, from tennis and Latin to National History Bowl and Quizbowl. However, my biggest passion was for music. In high school, I joined the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division to study violin performance.

In my spare time, I was an avid reader of global affairs. This sparked my ongoing fascination with how markets function, and prompted me to pursue a degree in mathematical economics at the University of Pennsylvania.

I also supplemented this with studies in statistics in the Wharton School. Although I didn’t know it at the time, this course of study prepared me well for a career in data science and AI.
